“Certified” or Professional Certification?
Training certificates (“certified”) are awarded to class participants who pass a test based only on class material or on being present during the lecture.
A professional certification is awarded to someone who passes a proctored exam based on broad industry knowledge independent of a specific class or based on specific vendor or technology knowledge. A professional certification is more difficult to obtain.
NTS believes that professional certification serves multiple purposes. It typically indicates a stronger knowledge of the subject matter and it conveys a message to our clients and potential clients that we are dedicated to higher levels of training to give them confidence that our team has the knowledge to serve their needs effectively.
